Former BrewDog workers accuse craft beer agency of tradition of worry

Dozens of ex-employees signal open letter claiming they had been bullied and handled like objects

BrewDog, the fast-expanding craft beer agency, has apologised to former workers who accused the corporate and its co-founder James Watt of fostering a “tradition of worry” wherein employees had been bullied and “handled like objects”.

In an open letter circulated on Twitter, 61 former employees alleged that the Scottish brewer’s dizzyingly speedy development had concerned chopping corners on well being and security, espousing values it didn’t dwell by, and making a “poisonous” tradition that left workers affected by psychological sickness.
